There are 2 types of anger: reactive, when a situation is happening, and infectious, which has taken over how you live. This is about the latter.
Don’t let anger define you. Anger is all-consuming; when you’re angry, it controls everything you do. It’s like a cancer that takes over your entire being. No matter what the conversation an angry person is having, that cancer will somehow find a way to inject itself into the conversation. Eventually, everyone starts to get it, and they limit all conversation with you and will stop contact with you, you will lose friends first, then family eventually you will find yourself alone.
What has that anger done for you? Has it changed anyone’s mind? No because you are looked at by others as toxic. Over time, anger begins to break down your immune system, and illness takes over your body, as life gets worse, the anger has finally achieved control over you, and it will destroy your life.
I get it that there are things that make us angry; how you handle the thing that is making you angry is important. If you believe there is no solution and accept this precipitation, you are finished. There may not be a way to defeat that situation, but there is always a way to handle it better. Find that way, otherwise, the anger blinds you, and like an incurable disease, it will spread. Anger blinds you it becomes who you are, and you continue to search for other things to keep you there, and you will find it.
You must stop that disease from spreading. Far too many people find medication to feel better; sadly, the medication is often illicit drugs and or alcohol. When you succumb to self-medicating, it’s over; anger has won.
