Every so often, I will see a number floating, and it’s hard to explain. I would say to my client I see the number and tell them the number. I will ask if the number holds any significance for them. When it appears without context, in other words, we are not discussing something specific; it could be a date of some sort or the length of time the person has been gone.
During this session, my client was telling me about her estranged son; she told me he hadn’t been in touch for some time. She was sure he would never get in touch with her again. As our session was ending, it was at that moment, one of her souls showed me the number six. I knew it was about her son. I told her he would be in touch either in six weeks or six months. She told me she would be hopeful, but doubted this would happen.
When that happens, I have to give my client what I see.
About six weeks later, I received a text from my client, who told me her son reached out to her. She told me he was coming to dinner that weekend, she said, “I told her about the six, she said it is exactly six weeks.”
This has happened several times; very often, it is meaningful. I worry that when I tell my client this, it may give them false hopes, so I explain to her that she should not get too hopeful. I don’t want them to be disappointed.
The caveat to this is that if the person does come back, it is up to my client to repair the relationship so that the relationship can continue.
Remember, just because things are the way they are now doesn’t mean they will not change. Everything can change; it’s up to us to make the change better.
Always remain hopeful, never hopeless. Always be optimistic, never pessimistic.
