Projecting in business is important for the future and the health of the business.

This is not what I am talking about here, What I am addressing, is all to often people project upon their life, which sadly more often than not is destructive.

Many look at their life and believe their life hasn’t ever gotten better and they project that life will never change & things will always remain the same.  Others project that some day they will be whatever; (put you hopes there) often unrealistic expectations. When you don’t reach that goal or when you are sure your life will never get better you become depressed and hopeless. I advocate against projection I believe in goals, practical goals; but if you feel must project, make sure you project upon your life in a practical sense, realize that although you may not reach your projected hopes right away you may eventually reach it if you do not give up on yourself. That will more likely happen through goals. Keep hope alive as they say and you will feel good about never giving up on having something to look forward too.

Life can always change but change is up to you and only you. The most destructive of both ways of projecting is this; If you are stuck in a situation you have to live with, we must look for a way to change it or get out of it. If that is not possible we have to adjust to keeping your options open and always keep an open mind, with an eye out to change things so we don’t make our lives worse. If it is something you have no control of, work to change that situation make a change that needs to be. It may not happen to the degree you hope but be proud if you change things just a little and continue to work at it it will help you, be proud of yourself that you have what it takes to make changes, both small or great.

Your life is up to you and it takes work and patience to change anything. I don’t believe in think positive & change will come, what comes with that thinking is we wait for things to happen and if you’re not making things happen by being positive & hopeful, we fall into a depression.

There is a quote I got from a book long ago that I believe says it all, “Argue for your limitations and sure enough they’re yours.”

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOPE & Projection, is projection becomes a firm often unyielding thought process. Hope, is being open minded and that change is possible you are able to adjust better.
