I’ve had several clients over the years who struggle with anxiety, without exception all project what their future will be. They project one of two ways about the future; the most destructive is when they are convinced nothing will change and life will never get better. Often because they don’t think they deserve a better life, the second is they’re convinced this is the way life is and will always be and see no way or hope of changing it. Both are defeatist and destructive mindsets.

When the anxiety of what’s to come, or projection, sets in it can paralyze you and prevent you from taking that next step to creating a better life. There should be nothing that holds you back, do not allow anxiety or fear of the future to grab hold of you, you must take control. You can do it, is it easy, no, nothing worth doing is easy is it impossible, no. Look at it as a challenge, step up to the challenge you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.

Never look back at your failures and focus on your successes. Stop what I call doing the would-a, could-a, should-a, destructive thought. We did what we did because it was right at the time, let it go. Hell, if I looked at the crazy me in my past… well let’s just say they don’t produce enough meds to save me from myself.

Begin your new journey by setting small attainable goals for yourself, and be determined to reach those goals. The operative word here is “SMALL”, that’s right small. If you set a large lofty goal, and you do not achieve that goal the anxiety will get worse, do not do that to yourself, keep everything in perspective. Take one step at a time, and as you move through life achieving those small goals one by one you will build your confidence and change your life for the better.

Remember you can do it you can make your life better, it’s up to you and only you.

Enjoy your journey, why not, keep in mind if your goal is that big house on the hill, and you are not enjoying the journey you will never enjoy the house. It’s all about our life’s journey, enjoy it, and step up to the challenges, You can do it, why not? Never give up, never give up!

Always remain optimistic never pessimistic.
